Services for Women

Mastectomy Fittings – About 6 to 8 weeks after breast surgery it will be time to make an appointment with our trained mastectomy fitter.  There should be no drainage or open wounds at the surgery site or incision.  Either of these conditions would require permission from the patient’s physician before proceeding.  Fitting is important in order to accurately measure and determine the proper bra size.  These are done by appointment in our private and comfortable setting and will take approximately 1 – 2 hours.  Women who have had breast conserving surgery will also benefit from a post-mastectomy fitting as there are partial prostheses to help fill in the missing portion of their breast and provide symmetry.  Medicare and most private insurance plans have coverage for breast prostheses and bras.

Lymphedema Compression Garment Fittings – One of the side effects of having a mastectomy/lumpectomy is the condition of lymphedema.  Lymphedema is the abnormal buildup of fluid that develops when lymph vessels or lymph nodes are missing, impaired, damaged or removed.  Physicians often prescribe compression garments to assist in controlling this swelling.  Our staff can accommodate these needs by measuring, ordering, and assisting in applying your compression garment.  We carry a variety of sizes and colors of compression garments.  We will be happy to place special orders if we do not have the appropriate size.

Hair Salon – For many cancer patients, hair loss is the most distressing and feared side effect of chemotherapy and radiation treatment.  If you do not want anyone to know that you are losing your hair, wigs may be your answer.   We carry wigs of all lengths, colors and styles.  We will also order a wig for you if you do not find the exact one to meet your needs.  A licensed cosmetologist in our salon can accommodate the need for you to have your hair shaved along with the fitting and styling of a wig.

For all of our services, please call for an appointment at 423-254-1495.

Our Commitment to Women’s Health Needs:

To Our Customers:
Working in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, we have both seen patients and their families go through very challenging times. After purchasing Home Medical Services, Inc. in Greeneville, we decided to expand several of our products lines. In doing so, we both attended the American Breast Cancer’s Post Mastectomy Fitter Course. It was during this course, that we agreed the need far outweighed the supply for these products. Not only did women need products, they needed a place to find comfort and support. This is where the brainchild of this unique venue came to life. We are committed to provide education, wonderful feminine products as well as necessities prior to and after surgery. Divine is also a place to find tranquility and serenity, a place to find how to feel special and beautiful again.

We will continue to give back to our local community through our participation in events such as the
Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure as well as many other local events supporting the various other issues affecting women today.

Thank you for allowing us to help you through your journey whether you are the patient or the caregiver—we care about you.
